Proud to defend those without voice
As one of the first artistic and niche international perfume company’s in the world Mendittorosa has been acknowledged as Cruelty Free by Leaping Bunny.
“I had no doubt that we would succeed in this, because I have always been very careful in selecting the artisans and suppliers for having the best quality. Somehow, I was sure that this would also cover our ethical standards. Luckily it did.” Stefania Squeglia, Mendittorosa founder.
Leaping Bunny is the only worldwide accepted NGO granting guarantee that no part of a company’s products has been tested on animals. Neither the finished product nor any part of the product either directly or by third part.
“We strongly need this. We love animals. They are creatures without voices but with plenty of love and qualities. They don’t deserve to be used. They need to be protected and saved. The creatures are not inferior to humans just because they cannot write, speak, or react like us. Actually, they react in their way. Much more and better than humans. Why should any animal suffer for my wish to make my creations? No way. I don’t understand, how others can accept this, but they do. In Main China animal testing of perfumes on animals is mandatory to enter the market. This we never did. We will never do it out of respect for animals.”

It is a both costly and complicated affair to be approved. Leaping Bunny needs to have insight and access to all parts of the production and supply chain. As part of the process Mendittorosa has also agreed to be inspected unannounced from now on.
