I just received my gorgeous candle 🕯 from one of my favorite discoveries of the last months Le Mat from @mendittorosa_odori_talismans
This fragrance just blew me away. It’s gorgeous. I don’t have a bottle yet, but I’m planning on buying one soon.
I didn’t know they had a candle from the same fragrance, but I saw it in a post by dear @_scenthe
The fragrance is of course gorgeous. Packaging is so beautiful. Candle cups are handmade on the lathe by the Italian Sculptor Alessandro Reggioli, the artist behind the unique caps of Le Mat. Accompanied there was a sweet personal letter.

As i sprayed lemat from @mendittorosa_odori_talismans first thing i observed was high quality of ingredients as nothing abot is synthetic and second thing I observed is this is a very complex and beautiful fragrance .I don't have any like to like perfume to compare however going by notes it has rose and spice with herbal backbone and it keeps giving you whiffs all day long and with a excellent silage as i kept asking my wife can you smell me from couple of feet away and she kept nodding in affirmation . Excellent smelling , Lasting and silage with a hefty price tag which I think is totally worth it !!

My Scent of the Day is Athanor by @mendittorosa_odori_talismans from their Extreme Talismans in the Talismans collection. This is wearable artistry and best suited to those that appreciate all aspects of boutique-niche fragrances. It is so unique that my brain didn't quite know what it was smelling at first and definitely couldn't put into words, it is unlike anything I have ever smelled before. My first thoughts were of a pear with the skin still on and the faint smell of incense burning in another room. Others have described the opening like a strange "chemical reaction...when flesh touches bronze...and freshly lathed metal." Part of the reason it is so difficult to describe is the unique composition of notes:

Top Notes - Sulphur, Cassis, Saffron

Heart Notes - Iris, Cypriol, Fumencens

Base Notes - Cashmeran, Guaiac Wood, Vetiver Java, Black Amber

After 15 minutes, the top notes fade revealing more of the sweet incense, pillowy iris, and woody vetiver. It's like your skin is enveloped by a soft, cocooning, and ethereal cloud. After an hour, it settles into a dark, yet still soft, woody, leathery, and slightly animalic (from the black ambergris) scent. Despite its artistic nature, I couldn't stop smelling my wrist throughout the day and even my wife asked what I was wearing (she's typically immune to my fragrance testing). On my skin, it lasted 8+ hours, primarily as a skin scent but still capable of leaving a faint trail.

Athanor is definitely not a blind buy, especially given its $531 USD sticker price, however, I would highly recommend that you sample this one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
